How to identify the corrosion resistance of anti-corrosion coatings

Anti-corrosion coatings are a type of paint applied to the surface of objects to protect their interiors from corrosion. It is a type of coating that is more commonly used than anti-corrosion paint in industrial construction. It is widely applied in fields such as aviation, shipping, chemical engineering, oil pipelines, steel structures, Bridges, and oil brick well platforms, and is highly favored by many construction manufacturers. However, there are numerous types of anti-corrosion coatings with varying prices and performances, making it difficult for non-professionals to distinguish them, which leads to deviations in project budgets and project quality. To solve the above problems, in addition to consulting professional paint engineers, you can also test and identify the corrosion resistance of anti-corrosion paint by yourself.

Test method
Take two iron sheets, coat them with anti-corrosion paint products, and apply anti-corrosion paint of another brand to the other one. At the same time, soak them in 30% dilute sulfuric acid or dilute hydrochloric acid. After 10 days, take them out and compare the degree of coating film peeling. The more severe the peeling, the worse the quality!
