What types of anti-corrosion paint are there?
Anti-corrosion paint is classified into metal anti-corrosion paint, concrete anti-corrosion paint, wood anti-corrosion paint, etc. according to the application substrate.
1. Metal anti-corrosion paint
Carbon steel, cast iron (epoxy zinc-rich, HD200 epoxy primer, HD500 epoxy primer),
Galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy (HD1000 epoxy primer)
Hot-dip galvanized and aluminized (HD1500 epoxy paint)
2. Concrete anti-corrosion paint: Currently, there are mainly two categories: epoxy resin sealing paint and silane impregnating agent.
3. Wood preservative paint: There are varieties such as nitrocellulose lacquer and wood wax oil.
Paints classified by substrate are usually directly applied to treated surfaces. There are no other coatings in between. Most of them need to be combined with similar or other coatings to form composite coatings.
Anti-corrosion paint can be classified into the following types based on the main film-forming substances:
Epoxy resin paint, acrylic polyurethane paint, fluorocarbon paint, polysiloxane topcoat, epoxy compositions (such as epoxy coal tar paint, epoxy phenolic paint), ethyl silicate (such as inorganic zinc-rich paint), high chlorinated polyethylene paint, chlorinated rubber paint, silicone paint, etc.
Anti-corrosion paint is classified by its application
According to "GB2705-2003-T Classification, Nomenclature and Model of Coatings Products", anti-corrosion coatings are a subcategory under industrial coatings, which include bridge coatings, container coatings, anti-corrosion paints for buried pipelines, high-temperature resistant coatings and other anti-corrosion coatings.
